DOS - Ear

The "Doctrine of Signatures" that was popularized in the early 1600s and practiced previously by people who believed in a Creator God who made many foods and herbs to resemble different parts of our bodies to give us an indication that they are good for that area of our health and could bring healing to certain conditions. Some Christians remembered a verse in their Bible that said "I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food” when noticing the remarkable resemblance to our brain, heart, ears and eyes etc they started adopting various foods into their diet as different foods - in this light – became part of their conversation. They felt that God had revealed this insight to them. There were Chinese people who practiced this also......because our Creator's 'signature' on these foods and herbs are nothing short of AMAZING when you realize. I've been aware of this for some time but thought I would research it. So I will share with you my findings to Enjoy. 12 - Oct - 2014

Oh I should add that Scientists of Today are researching many of these Herbs and Foods. They are looking into them and finding stunning accuracies to their medicinal values! It's nice to make new discoveries is'nt it? And it is my intention not to disappoint you - because I kept finding a repetition of a small handful of veges - so I pursued it further. I was so keen to find more myself in this venture, just a few did'nt satisfy me. Personally, I like to call this phenonema the Signatures of Foods, and I will do my best to group them for you with a

combination of INFO I have gleaned! Shall we go?

First there is CARROT the obvious one. Have you ever noticed that the uniform pattern in a slice of carrot closely resembles our EYES with the markings of the IRIS? This is because they contain Beta Carotene that converts to VITAMIN A that enhances blood flow to the eyes and benefits their function. Carrots are also a good source of two Anti-oxidants that are specific for our eyes known as LUTEIN and ZEAXANTHIN that help to shield our eyes from the effects of light like an internal pair of sunshades. They also help to protect the retina from AMD (macular degeneration) if your dietary intake of these is adequate. They also contain natural SULPHUR for cleansing and collagen in the lense of the eye.

Next we have WALNUTS really amazing if you look at them__ an exact replication of the shape of our BRAIN.....hey? Each half looks like a miniature brain with a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. The wrinkles and folds it contains strongly resemble the neo-cortex. In fact, the inside and the outside of a walnut looks just like our brain. Walnuts are high in DHA, a type of Omega-3 fatty acid essential for brain health. Nuts are noted for their boron content and each one can improve our mental health in their own way and walnuts are no exception. They are brain food figuratively and literally speaking. One of the best things you can do for your brain is to have 6-8 daily. People from Syria love them and they are really smart! Yes, walnuts are a real brain food__ the fatty acids and the 15-20% protein nourish the nervous system. We now know that the healthy omega-3 fats in walnuts are great for brain development. They even contain 65% healthy fats that our brain loves because it is 60% Fat. So keep your brain happy and Healthy!

Then there is the TOMATO that represents the HEART with it's four Chambers, that faithfully pumps our Blood every day. Tomatoes are rich in Lycopene, a phytonutrient that has been used for treating cardiovascular disease. They also contain MOLYBDENUM that has a lot to do with how our cells function. It relates to the Mitocondria that is the Powerhouse to our cells and this same Molybdenum is required for making our heart beat and the making of New Healthy Cells. No wonder Italians have such strong Healthy Hearts! Their diets are rich in tomatoes 5-7 days a week.......they work long hours as builders and market gardeners etc

As a bonus, some of the Molybdenum in our body activates enzymes that are required

for waste removal via a metabolic cleansing process of detoxification. The Lycopene antioxidant is a bonus too because it's only found in a few foods but is richly supplied in Tomatoes – providing they are cooked (this increases the content). Lycopene has an ability

to enhance connectivity and communication between cells and it can noticeably improve your skin's texture by aiding cellular functions that are essential to

keeping your skin looking young.

Lycopene may also strengthen your skin by inhibiting the activity of enzymes involved in the destruction and breakdown of collagen. So you could say that Tomatoes have Anti-Aging properties and you'd be right. Lots of research has established that tomatoes are loaded with lycopene and are indeed pure heart and blood food.

The popular SWEET POTATO is shaped just like the PANCREAS that has to do with our

Sugar Levels.

Keeping this gland healthy is a good thing. Along with other foods this vege can assist when it comes to maintaining our weight. They have been nicknamed the Anti-Diabetes food. Sweet potatoes are naturally sweet-tasting but their natural sugars are slowly released into the bloodstream, helping to ensure a balanced and regular source of energy, without the blood sugar spikes linked to fatigue and weight gain. Anthocyanins in Purple Sweet Potatoes increase blood sugar metabolism and studies show that they may have a positive effect on abnormal collagen production, a side effect of diabetes that contributes to poor blood sugar control. One study also suggested that anthocyanins may be effective in preventing retinopathy, a diabetic condition that can lead to blindness. The anthocyanins not only prevent an overproduction of proteins but were also shown to repair leaking, damaged capillaries.

Sweet potato provides a good amount of vital minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, manganese, and potassium that are very essential for enzyme, protein, and carbohydrate metabolism. This elongated vege promotes healthy function

in the pancreas. The Orange Sweet Potato is high in beta-carotene, a potent antioxidant that protects all tissues of the body, including the pancreas, from damage associated with cancer or aging. So you can place them in your Low Glycemic and Anti-Aging Diet. YES!

If you cut a MUSHROOM in half and look at it side ways it looks remarkably like our EAR. They have a high content of Vitamin B and Protein for the health of our ears.

If you're lacking in B Vitamins, your hearing can be very sensitive – and also magnesium. Mushrooms are a good source of vitamin D, which helps keep

your hearing strong.

Lack of vitamin D not only weakens your bones, it also weakens your hearing. This is because your hearing depends on the vibrations of tiny little bones in your ear that

must also remain strong and healthy.

100g of raw mushrooms contain 14mg of magnesium. According to Dr. Jonathan Wright, low potassium levels may play a role in poor hearing and hearing loss. Whether this is due to low potassium intake or poor functioning of potassium channels in your inner ear, Dr. Wright suggests that you supplement your diet and increase your intake of foods rich in potassium.

Bananas are noted for potassium.

Dr Joseph Mercola says if you experience sudden sensorineural hearing loss, new research shows supplementing with the mineral zinc may be beneficial.

The Institute for Natural Hearing website mentions that a study finds that zinc can improve how quickly people recover after experiencing sudden hearing loss. And Higher levels of this mineral in the blood are associated with better quality of hearing. They tell you of 4 other nutrients that are significant for hearing.

Benefits of Kefir:

Helps to establish gut flora

Extremely important to maintaining body systems

Resulting in “healthy flora” making up to 80% of the GI tract

The role of 20% microbes like candida that are beneficial in small amounts

given this ratio, they properly perform their tasks of regulating our metabolism

producing various hormones and nutrients, preventing the growth of harmful bacteria.

This helps to protect our Immune System in a natural way.

Kefir will help your gut to regain this equilibrium – fostering better health.

Your Immune System will function much better.

Unchecked candida – where it dominates – can often cause frequent headaches

and cloudy thinking.

Food allergies and rashes can also occur, leading to other health problems. They do not always show up straight away. Stress and poor diet (low quality foods) various antibiotics and medications are known to throw our gut flora out of wack, that results in unhealthy flora playing a dominant role we hear of as “candida” that affects more people than you would think.

Candida is the common underlying cause of many health maladies in our modern-day. It’s often the reason why we feel tired and lethargic, unmotivated….. and also for unexplained irritability. Insomnia is very common. This can be not being able to get to sleep or waking up between 1-3am and finding it difficult to get back to sleep or waking up every hour or so.

Candida affects liver function. Anxiety, panic and depression can occur from a build up of toxins in the liver and it fails to function properly. Unhealthy flora builds up this toxicity in our system and our immune system is compromised also.

When our liver is functioning harmoniously, we can stay calmer. When you are healthy you’re happy. And the happier you are, the stronger your immune system will be. Our liver and Immune System need to be built up to maintain their integrity and function well. Constant use of antibiotics (3 or more times a year) actually hinders your immune system – it can also

thrash it…….the liver has more toxicity to handle than it should have. Candida does not help!

Candida Albicans not only causes inflammation; it also uses that inflammation to

colonize your gut.

Certain types of food increase the risk of inflammation. They include trans fats, sugar, white bread and alcohol. There is a significant overlap between inflammatory foods and those which can lead to a Candida overgrowth.

Apart from insomnia, candida can cause nightmares and restless sleep as well.

The probiotics in Kefir help to balance our endocrine system (glands) they create natural antibiotics. They will also help us to colonize our gut with healthy bacteria as it deals with the other. Most people these days, have only 10% healthy flora and 90% unhealthy. With the addition of Kefir to a healthy diet, you can achieve the healthy 80% 20% ratio. This is one of the sure ways to optimum health!

Did you know that a GOOD SMILE and a GOOD YAWN can do wonders for you. A yawn at will can help to wind down tension and if you make yourself smile a few times, it sends a message to your brain to relax as if you are happy......Hey?

Scientists tell us that yawning has a cooling effect on our brain. Cool brains can think more clearly; hence, yawning may have developed to keep us alert.

While yawning is commonly associated with relaxation and drowsiness, your heart rate can rise as much as 30 percent during a yawn.

Read about these and see two hilarious videos I have for you on this Page.
