DO NOT BE TOO QUICK TO TRUST THOSE 'HEALTHY' LABELS
SOME ARE OK OTHERS ARE FAR FROM IT!

This is a Good Label, but you must always read the back of the Label to ensure that the front of the Label reads True! For instance, the front of the Label often says Sugar Free but the back of the Label reveals that they have added (more damaging) Aspartame or other synthetic chemical for sweetness. Often Labels will say something like No Sugar, No Preservatives and they have added Artificial Coloring.
Some products will have 100% Juice but they add a Preservative.
MANUFACTURERS HAVE COME UP WITH ALL KINDS OF SEEMINGLY HEALTHY MISLEADING WORDS ON LABELS TO KEEP UP OR GAIN THE SALES OF UNSUSPECTING BUYERS WHO ARE QUICK TO TRUST.
WATCH OUT FOR THESE LURKS - THEY'RE KNOWN TO RESEARCHERS AS ADVERTISING PLOYS!
THEY ARE MEANT TO TARGET UNSUSPECTING BUYERS.....THOSE WHO HAVE GAINED A LITTLE
KNOWLEDGE OFTEN "that looks healthy" AND MAYBE TOO BUSY TO READ PROPERLY.
MOST MANUFACTURER'S DO NOT PRACTICE
ON THE FRONT OF LABELS.
TAKE CARE THAT YOUR IMPRESSION IS A TRUE ONE!
MAKE SURE TO READ THE PAGE ON MSG and ASPARTAME
THEY have Different Names to Deceive YOU!
Some Labels will have 'No MSG' but they use another form of it!!!

The Loopholes of Food Labeling
What Food Manufacturers Don't Want You to Know
The word "natural" is not regulated by the FDA and therefore is very misleading. Sure "natural" brings to mind thoughts of fresh, minimally processed and healthy food, but it means nothing about a food's nutritional content, ingredients, safety, or health effects. Almost all packaged foods today are processed in some way. Natural potato chips may use real potatoes (instead of flakes), for example, but like regular potato chips, they are still a high-fat food choice with little nutritional content. Natural candy may be sweetened with cane juice (instead of white sugar), but it can still contribute to weight gain when eaten in excess.
"Made with Real Fruit" or "Contains Real Fruit Juice"
You see “made with real fruit” frequently on fruit snacks, fruity cookies and cereals, and fruit drinks. Since there is no law that requires how much real fruit has to be included in a food that uses this claim, the sugary treat could contain just one grape or one drop of orange juice to be accurate. However, a quick look at the ingredients list will show you what you need to know. When high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar are listed as the first ingredients, you know that the “real fruit” content of the product is not significant. This is sugary junk food that is trying to masquerade as healthy—but now you know better!

THESE FOODS ARE HEALTHY FOR YOUR HEART
THESE ARE NOT - SO DON'T ALWAYS GO BY THE HEART TICK
I actually challenged them once to No Avail
Vegetable oil and margarine are
artificial fats that have a very negative effect on the body. ...
You've probably heard these referred to as “heart healthy
oils,” a good ... These oils are some of the most harmful
substances you can put into your body.
What the scientific literature does tell us is that low fat diets for children, or diets in which vegetable oils have been substituted for animal fats, result in failure to thrive–failure to grow tall and strong–as well as learning disabilities, susceptibility to infection and behavioral problems. Teenage girls who adhere to such a diet risk reproductive problems. If they do manage to conceive, their chances of giving birth to a low birth weight baby, or a baby with birth defects, are high.
How Diet Foods and Drinks CAUSE Weight Problems
by Dr Joseph Mercola
One of the world's best Nutritionist/Advocates
In recent years, food manufacturers have increasingly focused on developing low-calorie foods and drinks to help you maintain a healthy weight and avoid obesity. Unfortunately, the science behind these products is so flawed, most of these products can actually lead to increased weight gain!
For example, researchers have discovered that drinking diet soda increases the risk of metabolic syndrome, and may double your risk of obesity -- the complete opposite of the stated intention behind these "zero calorie" drinks.
The sad truth is that diet foods and drinks ruin your body's ability to count calories, and in fact stimulate your appetite.... thus boosting your inclination to overindulge.
Unfortunately, most public health agencies and nutritionists in the United States recommend these toxic artificial sweeteners as an acceptable alternative to sugar, which is at best confusing and at worst harming the health of those who take their misguided advice.

We've heard about the dangers of eating excess fat or salt. But there has
never been a warning about sugar on our food labels - despite emerging research
that suggests the sweet stuff is making more of us fat and sick.
